Jack and Jill - continued
They had instead intent of lust,
For Jill was comely and her bust
Was said by males, with plaintive sigh,
One for which a man could die.
But though she had a great physique,
Her attitude was far from meek.
What of our hero, Jack the lad?
Alas his morals were quite bad
And if you’d asked a passer-by,
They’d say he had a roving eye.
Jack ran an ironmonger shop,
Into which dear Jill would pop
Ostensibly the goods to view,
But really for a lover, new.
Not for her, goods on the rack,
But the trousers round the back
With contents owned by Jack, the proud
Proprietor, so well endowed.
How to achieve this caused her strife,
For in the shop, there worked Jack’s wife
Who kept a beady eye on him,
For Mrs Jack was far from dim.
